Tower Defense – is one of the types of real-time strategy. The player’s task is to contain the waves of enemies by putting defensive towers or obstruction on the road, after which they move. In most games of this type, there are many types of towers that have different abilities and can be improved.
Opponents usually move at a certain, often tortuous road along which the towers are seeded player but in some games away from that and the opponents are not only the calculated route at which they move.
Nowadays, many games of this type are created in Flash by individual programmers or small groups of enthusiasts. They are very popular. One of the most famous games of this type developed in flash is Desktop Tower Defense GemCraft or three parts.
Interest in this type of game also attracted the attention of major developers to create complex, among others PixelJunk Monsters game, Savage Moon and Comet Crash for PlayStation 3 or Defense Grid on Xbox 360 and PCty.
